"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

- Maya Angelou

                    Our Story

We started as a small number of parents exchanging ideas on how to navigate the educational system of Aurora and Denver Public Schools. As we met new parents, we recognized that the challenges faced by Black students were similar throughout the Front Range and Colorado. Thus, we decided to form a network of parents who articulated their needs and willingness to work together as a group to address those needs.

               Purpose

Change in Colorado. Through our community outreach and relationships with Black families in Colorado, we focus on equity in engagement for Black families to eradicate the current state of nonengagement due to systemic racism, generational trauma, oppression and mistrust.

             Mission

A parent collective dedicated to unified advocacy to strategically impact the educational journey of Black children within schools, school districts and other civic arenas.

              Vision

As a unified Black Parent Network, it is our aim to see powerful leaders nationwide driving systemic change to ensure positive outcomes and unhindered access to opportunities for their children in all schools and communities.
